Life in action

Four people, two motor homes and one map of Scotland…

I’d like to be cool and say we simply threw a bag in the back of the vans and off we went …but that’s not quite true!

Between us, we packed enough clothes, food, gin, beer, wine, bubbly and the all-important midge repellent to last at least a month maybe even two! (…all I can say is you can never have too much gin!)

We were, however, ‘cool enough’ to have a couple of walkie talkies between us, tuned into our own frequency. We had an itinerary planned out with every stop, ferry and campsite (courtesy of our wonderful friend, pseudo travel guide and fellow traveller Fiona) and were ready to roll in our very own little convoy!

(To get in the mood, we even watched the 70’s movie “Convoy” the night before!)

Pete and Fi in the lead van, because only they knew the route, with Mikey and I following …yes, we had no idea at all where we were going. This was a 7-day adventure into the unknown for us, a true Magical Mystery Tour.

Over the next week (or so) as a personal travel blog, I’m going to share the story of our trip and the places we visited along the way – WATCH THIS SPACE!

In the meantime, here’s a few teasers…
